After a period of serious financial difficulty in the late 2000s and early 2010s, the Pompey Supporters Trust became the new owners and changed the club’s name to Portsmouth Community Football Club in 2013, the present day name.

Fratton Park is Portsmouth’s home stadium and has been since a year after the club’s formation in 1898. It was built on Portsea Island and is the only professional football ground located outside of mainland Britain.
