BBC Sport journalist Andrew Moon has shared how much Portsmouth have spent on agent’s fees in the past two transfer windows.
After a near-perfect League One campaign, John Mousinho’s side are now within touching distance of the Championship.
The Blues can seal promotion on Saturday at Bolton Wanderers and end their 12-year exodus from the second tier.
Pompey’s past two transfer windows have been superb. January saw Callum Lang, Owen Moxon, Myles Peart-Harris and Tom McIntyre arrive to bolster their already strong promotion credentials.
It was ambition that hasn’t been seen to date, and Moon has now revealed how much has been given to agents over the past two windows.
How much have Portsmouth spent on agent fees in the past year?

Taking to X on Friday, 12 April, Moon revealed that the Blues have spent over £270,000 on agents’ fees, a figure that places them seventh in League One.
“#Pompey spent £270,965 on agent fees in the past 2 transfer windows,” he wrote.
Considering the Blues aren’t even in the top six for fees given to agents, their feat during the 2023/24 season seems even more remarkable.
Mousinho’s role in Pompey’s table-topping form cannot be understated and Marlon Park shared the 37-year-old’s influence during a difficult period around Christmas.
“I think there’s a bit of a myth around Portsmouth at Christmas and that they don’t tend to have a favourable run around that period,” he explained [via Sky Sports].
“It came down to the management team and the gaffer in particular. Throughout the season, we’ve remained consistent in what we’ve done.
“Whether that’s our behaviour around the training pitch, our attitudes, or the way we’ve analysed games post- and pre-match, It was more to do with the gaffer making sure we continued believing in what we do.”
