John Mousinho has said that new Portsmouth signing Anthony Scully hasn’t shown his best since signing from Wigan Athletic.
Scully signed for Pompey from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee this summer.
The winger returned from injury and is yet to find his best form at Fratton Park, with that being said he is back out due to a knee injury.
He has missed the last three games due to injury.
In four starts this season he is yet to score or assist but Scully has had some good performances despite the numbers not showing it.
What has John Mousinho said about Anthony Scully?
The winger made a great impression on the manager prior to his injury.
Mousinho showed this, saying: “Anthony came in and was really sharp and very, very bright in the pre-season games he played.
“By his own admission, one thing he hasn’t quite managed is to have the output he desires on match days.”

He has had a good start but just needs that goal to kick start his Pompey career.
The injury he has suffered has had an effect: “There’s plenty of time for Anthony to progress, he had almost an entire season out last year, some of it through injury.
“It’s just difficult to get back into the groove of league football.”
Despite it being a difficult start, his manager knows he has the ability.
Mousinho knows Scully has high expectations of himself: “Anthony knows exactly what’s expected of him and a lot of it is pressure he puts on himself, but he’ll get it right, there’s no doubt about it.
