New man from Chelsea confirms plans for Pompey integration

Tino Anjorin has outlined the plans for his return to football, allowing him to make his debut for Portsmouth, potentially against Derby County.

The 21-year old spent last season on loan with Huddersfield Town but finished the season early due to injury.

Glandular fever combined with an ankle injury, requiring surgery, ruled him out.

He hasn’t been involved for Pompey yet this season as a result.

Left out of the squad in the 3-1 win against Peterborough United, but it was all part of a longer term plan.

He has already had serious injuries in his career and as a result he needs to be eased in slowly.

September 16th at Pride Park has become the aim for Anjorin’s debut.

What has Tino Anjorin said?

When talking about his desire to come back, he needs to be realistic: “I definitely want to show my talent, but listen I’ve been out out of the game for a whole year now from my injury before.

“So right now, it’s about taking things easy and moving one step at a time.”

He knows what it is like to return from a long term injury and needs to follow precautions to the letter.

Once he returns the Chelsea loanee has high aims: “My ambition is to build up, become robust and play a full game.

“But I also then want to play well for the club and do well, so it’s going to be a balance in between those things.”

Anjorin has bags of talent and once he is fit he can show that off.

On that point he said: “Once I become robust I feel I can then give my all to play to the best of my ability.”

Hopefully he is fit and ready for Derby County and he can show the Pompey faithful a taste of what he is made of.
