Chelsea youngster being considered by Pompey

Portsmouth are looking to add attacking reinforcements to their squad, Chelsea attacker, Tino Anjorin being linked with a season long loan.

The 21-year old spent last season on loan in the Championship with Huddersfield town as they survived relegation.

The midfielder had been linked to Pompey earlier in the window, but the rumour mill is back in full swing.

Speaking to Portsmouth News earlier this summer, John Mousinho said: “Anjorin is still a possibility until that is done and dusted.

“I am optimistic, we are still pursuing that, although that is now out of our hands, it’s basically the player and Chelsea’s choice.”

So it is clear Anjorin is in the sights of the manager with a potential move being explored.

Should Portsmouth sign Tino Anjorin?

He has injury troubles, but when fit he is a physical specimen and a top player.

Last season he only made nine appearances for Huddersfield but scored twice in that short period of time.

In Mousinho’s 4-2-3-1, Anjorin could find a great position in that three behind the striker.

He has the unique ability to be comfortable on both feet which makes him a problem for opposition defenders.

Being able to glide past players with his long strides results in great opportunities going forward.

If he can stay fit, a big if, he could finally find a permanent home down South.

He would be a great signing on loan and provide a different option for the Pompey squad.

Loanee Alex Robertson has had a positive start to the season but with Anjorin as competition, they could push each other even further.
