Louis Thompson joined Stevenage in June and is set to return to Fratton Park in League One as Portsmouth face Boro.
This will be the first time Thompson has faced his former club since his free transfer to the newly promoted side.

He has started all four games since joining Steve Evans’ side as they now sit in fifth place.
John Mousinho was speaking before Pompey’s game against Stevenage about the midfielder.
What has John Mousinho said about Louis Thompson?
It has been said that Thompson left Pompey in search of regular first team football following just 11 appearances last season.
There was potential of a new contract on the table for the midfielder, despite this he opted to make a move away.
Mousinho didn’t appear that he wanted to lose him: “Louis was great to have around the dressing room and one of those senior leaders.”
Despite a lack of minutes, the manager was full of praise for his professionalism: “He was always good to lean on and kept his attitude brilliant all the way through, even when he wasn’t playing games.”
Thompson decided to leave the club in search of game time.
This didn’t come as a surprise to Mousinho: “he answer was quite right and what we expected to hear. Louis wanted to push himself and play a lot more games.”
It was a tough decision to make for the Pompey boss but it was only fair: “Selfishly, part of us would have liked to keep Louis around.”
Mousinho will hope that Thompson doesn’t get one up on his old side, no matter how good of a player he believes him to be.
